On November 18th, 2011, Kurt suffered a serious spinal injury while bodysurfing. The events that followed were nothing short of miraculous. We were traveling as a part of a large group for a friend's wedding. In that group were doctors, nurses, EMTs and helicopter pilots, all of whom proved invaluable for Kurt.
Kurt received spinal surgery late Friday night and has been recovering well ever since.
Now back in the states he will continue to work in rehab to regain movement on his right side and strength on his left.
This blog will follow the rest of Kurt's journey through rehab and beyond. Thank you to everyone who continues to keep Kurt in your thoughts and prayers. We will do our best to update this blog as often as possible.

Our Christmas Wish!!

Drs told me there is a chance Kurt will be coming home Dec 23! At this point we're taking it one day at a time..some are better than others..every movement is extremely exhausting..Kurt has never missed a deadline and he's working very hard to meet this one!
